Whale Coast IT Solutions has designed a practical Computer Literacy Course to empower individuals with the essential digital skills needed in today’s job market. Whether you're entering the workforce for the first time or looking to grow your career, this course helps you confidently step into a technology-driven world.
 

Our program focuses on real-world business applications—covering everything from professional email communication to creating documents in Word and managing data in Excel. Each module is structured to ensure hands-on learning, so students don’t just understand the basics—they can apply them.

By the end of the course, you’ll have the confidence to list Computer Literacy as a valuable skill on your CV and use it effectively in any workplace.

COURSE DURATION & FORMAT

The Course runs over a period of 4 weeks, with daily 2 hour practical classes from Monday - Friday.

Learners will receive a hardcopy learning manual to support their studies.

ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION

Assessment includes a multiple-choice examination followed by a practical examination.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a
Certificate of Completion.

While our course is not formally accredited, the hands-on skills you’ll develop—and the confidence to include Computer Literacy on your CV—can significantly enhance your career prospects and open new opportunities.

REQUIREMENTS

Basic Requirements:

  • Demonstrate basic reading and writing skills.

  • Have a functional understanding of English, as the course is conducted in English.

  • Be available to attend classes Monday to Friday for 2-hour sessions scheduled between 12:00 and 17:00.

  • Have reliable transport to and from the training venue in Sandbaai.

  • Be physically able to work on a computer for extended periods (e.g., sitting, using a keyboard and mouse, viewing a screen).

Additional Recommended Requirements:

  • Basic familiarity with using a smartphone or any digital device (beneficial but not essential).

  • Willingness to learn and actively participate in practical exercises.

  • Ability to follow instructions and complete simple tasks independently.

  • Commitment to attend all sessions and complete any assigned practice work.

  • Punctuality and good time management.

  • Access to a computer outside of class for practice (advantageous but not required).
